StratasCorp a global company, headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a full-time a motivated, career and customer oriented Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to join our team in the Virginia Beach, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our internal organization.

The Administrative Assistant will provide support to our office management team. Essential functions will include daily and weekly tasks aimed to enhance and support the needs of the business. Because StratasCorp provides many services to the government, it is essential that the Administrative Assistant is able to treat all clients, tenants, prospects, etc. with the attention they deserve by reflecting a friendly, courteous manner and by expediting calls to the proper parties. This skill is essential as all clients, tenants, and prospects, etc. are vital to the success of our firm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

  • General administrative duties including answering the phones and scheduling appointments
  • Filing and scanning
  • Any deliveries or pickups from clients and vendors

REQUIREMENTS: Operation of the following business machines: computer system, telephone system, facsimile, copier/scanner, adding machine, and mail equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general knowledge of Windows and internet. Ability to adapt to changing job needs easily and to maintain advance skill level as technology advances.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Ability to multi-task and make effective use of time.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Personable and well-groomed appearance
  • Maintain positive and professional manner.
  • Professional telephone etiquette.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Some college preferred or relevant work experience applicable to position

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
